can traced back to Samuel Gilbert, b 1735. Samuel married Rhoda Jane Wallace.
Their daughter was Betsy Gilbert, b 1770 who married Timothy Burgess. Betsy
& Timothy's children were 1. Mary Burgess, b 1810 who married a Hutchinson.
2. Warren J. 1816 d pre 1860, Tennessee, and 3. Thomas H. Burgess b 1823.

Warren J. Burgess married Elizabeth Goodnight b 1823, Tenn. - d 1906, Ark.
Children of Warren and Elizabeth are 1. Thomas Henry Burgess 1846 - 1916.
2. John M. Burgess, b 1849. 3. Lesene Burgess, b 1851. 4. Mary Jane Burgess
b 1854 who married Robert Shannon b 1852.
Elizabeth's second marriage was to Richard Gray.
