Hayden Hall House
History

This photo was found in the house, but these people have not been identified.

We believe this house was built by George W Andrews in the late 1800s. Andrews owned a local grocery store and sold on account to share-croppers. One of the share-croppers who felt that Andrews created him on his bill, beat George W Andrews to death with a tree stump in 1928.

The House was later occupied by Andrews' grandson Hayden Hall with his wife, Verzena, and daughter, Patricia. Hayden Edward Hall died of a heart attack in the house October 29, 1959.

After the death of her brother, Lou Vicy Hall Hayward returned home from Portland,Oregon to live in the house. Lou Vicy died December 2, 1994 and was the last person to live in this house.
