Welcome to the Bells, TEXAS Boy Scouts Troop

Bells Boy Scout Troop No. 1, later to become Troop 41. The Bells Boy Scouts were
organized by Mr. Eldridge Craig, who served as scoutmaster for a number of years.
Bells had one of the first Boy Scout troops in Texas, organizing about three years
after the Boy Scout movement came to America. Mr. Craig is shown standing on the
cabin's porch. The cabin was located behind what is now Mullinex Garage.

Workmen roof the Boy Scout cabin in Bells. Logs for the cabin were cut from
trees along the banks of Red River and hauled to Bells for construction.
